Saturday, September 14, 2013 - Delicious. Still young in colour, only a slight bricking to the dark plum colour. Nose is still young as well, ripe blackberry, raspberry, maybe a hint of blood, meat. Palate is well integrated and very tasty, delicious ripe dark cherry and blackberry fruit. Long ripe finish, This is an excellent, interesting and well balanced wine, but for me lacks a little "verve" to merit a really good score. Needs a bit more Rhone gamey, meaty, smokey note to be truly great - it's almost too "clean".
