Monday, September 16, 2013 - Definitely more subdued than in the past, it has softened with age. Toasty, meaty nose with a touch of violets; lots of savory notes. Great weight and texture on the body with some dark fruit, blood, and dried meat. Soft and silky, but finishes with super fine tannins and a hint of bright acidity. Enjoyable right now, and seems to have the acidity to last a bit longer, but not sure it will improve significantly.
