92 Points

Saturday, November 2, 2013 - Mid gold. A lightly buttered nose with a squeeze of lemon and a hint of nuttiness. Phenomenally rich and viscous texture, grand cru weight. Quite buttery, only moderate length, initially this is about the texture. With air overnight the texture lightens slightly and the complexity builds with a hint of confit pineapple, some lime and far more precision. Moderate length initially, this too lengthens with air overnight. Very impressive for what is only a village wine. First day in Chardonnays, the second in the bigger-bowled Montrachets. ****
