Saturday, January 4, 2014 - Opened for 5 hours, then decanted it just before serve. What a spectacular nose, wild berries, flowers, red fruits and black fruits. Glen Eldon wine screams Quality everytime. This wine was from part of Operation dozen and it is bloody good value. Probably best cabernet I ever tasted from Barossa apart from Mentor cabernet blend 2004 peter lehmann. On the palate, luscious, elegant cabernet. Glen eldon makes similar style wine they make to trevor jones(now kellermeister)( elegant and not over the top), but Glen eldon beats in all ranges from quaffers to premium wines in my opinnion. I hope they get more well known soon. Truly top quality barossan makers!
