90 Points

Friday, June 15, 2007 - Excellent Pauillac. Clear, bright/brilliant, dark garnet in color. Consistent core to rim w/a slight brownish edge. This bottle was clean and healthy with a medium intensity bouquet. Blackfruit and earthy flavors with a hint of wood shavings on the nose. Dry, no acidity and mild tannins that softened after 2 hours of being decanted (need to decant this wine). On the palate blackfruit, leather and earthy/woody flavors. This is a full bodied wine with integrated alcohol and a long finish. A great QPR for this 5th Growth. Paired well with grilled strip steak.
