Community Tasting Note

More closed and monolithic, reminiscent of an aged Bordeaux -- integrated fruit frames the wine but does not entice of its own. Tastes of a strawberry compote, though still slightly viscous and tannic overall. Reminded me of '01 Altesino in overall profile with some woody tones -- the texture hints of a bit more oak than in an only botti aged wine. Taste hints of a Southern exposure fruit -- at times drinks as a maturing, monolithic nebbiolo in texture. Probably will wait another year or so to retaste.
