The wine was dark ruby in colour and offered hints of dark flowers, sweet fruit, blackberry, spices, leather, some coffee and cocoa on the nose. On the palate the wine showed sweet fruit, blackberry, plum, espresso, cocoa, vanilla and some tobacco, paired with medium-plus well-integrated acidity, medium-plus fine, round, well-integrated tannin, a slightly creamy mouthfeel and very good length. A medium- to full-bodied, very well-made Syrah. Very good QPR. Drink now.
