Monday, March 24, 2014 - muted red and black berry, cedar. In the mouth the wine is savoury with liquorice flavours accompanied by black fruit then pronounced, chewy, tight tannin. It has big fruit but this drops behind the tannin and doesn't re-emerge - needs time? Then had another bottle that had been open 2 days…muted red and black berry, cedar and spice in the mouth the wine has red and black berry, savoury spice, chewy tannin ends spicy and grippy the fruit is still a little short though the structure is good.
