84 Points

Sunday, March 30, 2014 - Not nearly as inspired or defined as their 2013 Shiraz, this one is soft, and probably a little sweet. The color is very inky dark. The nose has a touch of evergreen and fresh broken twig, tree sap with plum, blueberry and alcohol. The taste on the palate is a little manipulated and artificial. There is some mouth coating, lingering red and black fruit that gives this wine some credibility. Medium plus bodied. Not very tannic. The oak is probably from chips. By the time we reach the finish, there are some fresh blackberry, black cherry and plum flavors that are quite pleasant.
