Sunday, April 6, 2014 - I somehow waited a year and a half to have my second bottle of this wine, and I am even more impressed as the wine is almost peaking and drinks amazingly well with some air. Bottle and cork in pristine shape, throwing plenty of sediment. Dark fruits with some earth dominate with a long finish. Although this is a right bank wine, if I had it blind and had to peg it I would likely label it a St J. Based on how this wine has aged I can certainly see a drinking window beyond 2020 for those with reliable storage. (Notes from the winery indicate 100% new oak and 80% merlot, 20% cab sauvignon.)
