Saturday, April 12, 2014 - Heavy barnyard aroma on pop ("like sticking your head up a horse's ***" is what she said, and was right as usual), lasts a few minutes, then it's all black fruit on the nose. Black fruit and herbs in the mouth, moving towards earthiness with a good deal of tannic chew. This is much nicer than I was expecting considering the age... I am a sucker for Cornas though. Even the horse's *** part.
