Tuesday, May 27, 2014 - Healthy looking ruby color of medium depth.
Wonderful expresive nose of strawberries and tart plum on a background of violets, minerals and gamey notes. Shows some evolution but still fresh.
Palate has a velvety feel though finish is slightly harsher. Not as expressive as on the nose but still very nice with enough fruit, a good acidic backbone and medium level of tannins.
My wife bought this wine for me as a present from Paris, it cost 29,2euros and for its quality level is much cheaper than Burgundy.
A very satisfying wine.
