Sunday, July 6, 2014 - Drank at Charley's house party from magnum. Dark golden color befitting the age of this bottle. Somewhat floral nose, mixed with notes of honey and tart apple. On the palate, first I noticed lots of honey, then some citrus, and then some apple, along with brioche and a malt. Well-balanced wine, very complex & elegant. Some earthiness and minerality here too. Obviously not a young wine & certainly looks it age. Still, great freshness no doubt due to the excellent acidity level, and excellent length. A great example of a well-aged DP.
