87 Points

Sunday, July 6, 2014 - Popped and poured. This is a darker garnet wine. On the nose, there is some sour cherry and cinnamon -- the nose is the aspect of this wine most like regular Pinot. Not so much in the mouth; this wine vacillates between overly sweet and astringent, conveying a sense of generic "red wine." I've now had this three times and it was different each time, but never that great and never much of a varietally-correct wine. It's hard to get excited or be optimistic about this. Plus I really hate the stupid oversized bottle. 87 points, with an uncertain future.
