Sunday, July 13, 2014 - 05 Seven Stones, 03 Clos des Papes (The front patio): This was pop and pour and really needs air or decanting to open. It eventually did but took some time. dark ruby in color. The nose is clean with cherries, dark cherries, spice and floral notes. Full bodied. On the palate, this is lush. No heat. Plenty of depth with layers of fruit and earth. Long finish. Drinking very well now, but I would slow-ox it for a few hours at least.
