89 Points

Wednesday, August 20, 2014 - ot much has happened since last time I had a bottle of this.
At that point I clearly overrated this wine, compared to tonight’s showing.
Normaly Clos de Reas is always such a good wine, in every vintage I have had.
Still very vintage typical, with all the 2009 characteristics.
Big, deep and dark sweet fruited, animal nose, fur, oak spices, smoked sausage and very concentrated.
Meaty, fat deep somewhat sweet and full bodied fruit on the palate, with some un-integrated fruit.
A truly fantastic strike of acidity on the long finish saves this wine from being way too much and over the top.
I my opinion this needs more time thought, to settle and level out.
