Friday, August 29, 2014 - From 750: Getting a little tired, from this bottle at least. Not the wine I last had ten years ago. Perhaps would have sored higher had I not had '78 Robert Arnoux Les Suchots the night before. Decadent voluptuous nose leads to a somewhat disappointing palate. Plenty of fruit remains but tastes almost over ripe. Lacks acidity and the tannic grip to provide focus and balance the fruit. Fair finish. This wine was bought at auction 10 years ago. Fill was very top shoulder, and the cork seal was adequate. Perhaps the previous owner (or owners) did not have good storage conditions.
