Monday, February 20, 2006 - Great nose with burnt oak. Dense Menthol, soy.
Nice sweet core, lots of toasty french oak. Dark, black cherry, drying oaky tannins, lots of black fruit, tar, resin. Less lush fruit than I expected. Reminds me of a '96 if anything, but more black tar. Hints of future complexity. Good potential when oaky tannins fade. Good stuffing. Too much black tar?
B/B+ with potential
