Friday, October 10, 2014 - Tasted in double-blind fashion, this deep garnet wine showed an herbal edge throughout. Green olive and bell pepper elements are in the forefront, with black currant fruit lurking in the background on both the nose and palate. The wine is medium-bodied, has medium acidity and fairly light tannins at this point. The alcohol is well-integrated and the middle palate is solid. Concluding with a medium-length, tart finish, this iteration of du Tertre fails to provide the "joy factor" that this château usually delivers. Drink now-2019.
