Sunday, October 19, 2014 - I felt that this was an improvement over other Beaucastels that I had had recently. I like the region, but it seemed like many of the Beaucastels were quite closed for me. Probably tasting too young. Deep nose of pepper, currants, and plum. Palate of cedar, pine, boysenberry, and even a little walnut oil hint. Rich with nice depth and pleasant fruit finish. No hurry to drink these.

1/5/2015 9:55:00 AM - Had on NYE and totally agree that it was shut down or closed. I didn't even get a deep nose...It was okay...but no ooomph... Will hold my last bottle for some time
