Sunday, November 2, 2014 - Dark garnet color turning crimson at the rim with a nose of dark berries, currant, vanilla and toasted oak. The palate is dry, full-bodied, concentrated, fleshy, with bracing acidity and a silky texture. Flavors of black currant, black tea, graphite, smoke, and toasted oak comprise the core. The tannic backbone gives a structure for good aging, and should balance out with medium-term cellaring. Finishes long with a hint of dried oregano. Drink now with a 1-hr decant or better in 2016 until 2026. 89+
