Saturday, November 15, 2014 - The 2000 Pégau Réservée is at a beautiful stage of its evolution, bursting from the glass with ripe and sauvage aromas of plum, ethereal red cherry, herbs, woodsmoke and game. On the palate the wine is wide open, and quite open-knit in style, but with exceptional depth and intensity to the very complex flavors. This is just what I'm looking for in a bottle of Pégau, and a beautiful exemplar of this relatively forward vintage.
