Thursday, November 20, 2014 - The nose is nice, deft tones of minerals, oak , spice, and fresh green herbs. This is an interesting Malbec. I don't claim to be a Malbec expert but this is quite different from my experience with them. The palate is a short quick burst of mild, but flavorful fruit, followed by medium drying tannins, and a finish that is dominated by a bright tangy citrus. I really like the bright acidity in this wine. I find this wine to be of high quality and very enjoyable but would guess that those who are accustomed to a Malbec that tends to be fruit driven and a bit more flabby to be disappointed. This wine intrigues me, I'd be really interested to hear what others have to comment about it.
