90 Points

Friday, November 28, 2014 - This begins in a worrisome fashion, showing weedy and lean. Very different from the last time I had this, something like 4 years ago, when it was a still stolid and mute. It is now much more aromatic, with herbs and green notes, followed by a bright and thin palate... On Day 2, this pulls itself together with a fresh, intriguing bouquet of cedar, black currants and wintergreen. The palate has sweetened and deepened as well, but this is at most a medium bodied wine, with evident acidity and fading tannins. This has entered maturity, but for my money, it will probably continue to improve as Day 2 showed. 90 pts today, but it could climb into the 92 pt range in time.
