Thursday, February 12, 2015 - Tried side by side with the 2013 Spatlese #9. This is more approachable at this stage due to a rounder less acidic mouth feel. I gave it some time and drank both over a couple nights. The auslese began to dance a bit with spice, cream, and eventually some apricot notes emerging. I think I'll drink this young--it will age for sure, but I'm not that patient!
