Sunday, July 3, 2005 - Very typical BPR. I've purchased and enjoyed the 91 (x2), 92 (x3), 93 (x2), 94 (x1), 95 (x2), and now the 97 (x1). I target drinking these wines between ages 8 and 12. I decanted the wine while grilling some marinated tri-tip. There's a light sediment and the color is deep ruby red with no brick at the edges. Fruit forward cal-cab with pleasant but significant vanilla oak and a core of black cherry and blackberry. Right up there with my favorite wines of the last month: 96 Pichon Lalande, 02 Archery Summit Arcus Estate, and 00 Bernard Chave Hermitage.
