Sunday, July 3, 2005 - Well, here is our summer rose! This is the essence of the quaffable rose of southern France, meant to be drunk cold and liberally in the afternoon and early evening heat. This one fits the bill perfectly: very dry, very crisp, with an enjoyable nose of fruit and, in this case, a somewhat darker undertone in the taste that reminded me of a Tempier Bandol rose, all ending up with a very satisfactory finish of about 10 seconds or so. Another CellarTracker found this wine a bit lacking in crisp acidity, but we were very happy with it. And at $8.50, well, we bought a case. May have to get more!
