94 Points

Saturday, March 21, 2015 - Popped and poured then followed for 3 hours. Darker ruby color. Clean, forceful nose of fresh raspberries, pine forest, violets, stone, and a bit of red currant. Explosive on the palate with billows of concentrated black and red raspberry fruit complicated by tartness, earth, iron, and a certain degree of aristocratic elegance. Sharp acidity and quite firm tannins submerged by the release of fruit. Evolves on the palate even within each sip. Long finish with waves of red fruit, briar, and iron grip. What a treat! Reaches for grand cru quality.
