Saturday, October 6, 2007 - Had this bottle at a BYOB place with 3 friends. They chose this bottle as the bottle of the evening (it was the last bottle served after a Sangiovese, and Pinot Noir). I decanted the bottle earlier in the day for about 3 hours. The wine had a nice deep purple color and was fragrant and delicious. Roasted meats/nuts (I have a tough time telling that apart in the nose). Oodles of black fruit and a pretty decent/long finish. May even be better with a little more cellaring. Nonetheless, with the way darn Bordeaux prices are going these days, I wish (alas) that I had bought more!
