Sunday, March 22, 2015 - Blackfruit, floral and earth on the very expressive nose. A bit above medium bodied and it deepens considerably the longer it's open, ending up close to full bodied for a pinot. Really began to shine around 90 minutes to 2 hours in. Blackberry and black cherry notes and carries this fruit with a elegant grace. Impressive richness and roundness, but always in balance. Outstanding acidity based structure throughout and especially on the lengthy, mineral dominated finish. Strengths of this wine were its depth through the middle, its structure and its balance. As well as it's drinking now (given some time), I expect even more from it in the future. Outstanding Oregon pinot noir and exactly why I love this region.
