Saturday, April 25, 2015 - Deep red and clear in the glass. Remarkably complex nose with cherry, chocolate, coconut, and vanilla. Same notes on the palate but integrated. Ample acidity, not noticably tannic and quite hot despite 14% alcohol. Chocolate, cherry finish.

All-in-all, this bottle was an outstanding value. I've had bottles at 10X this price that didn't present such an interesting and attractive nose. Really, the only detraction, for me, was that the structure seemed to be dominated by the alcohol.

Still, at $16/750ml, I'll be back for more ..........
