Monday, August 3, 2015 - Great all purpose red. Goes with just about everything. What I love about this Cotes du Rhone is that it has all the varietal characteristics you'd expect and is terroir driven. Lots of fruit, earth, and baking spices. Nutmeg is dominant on the nose. This wine benefits from being drunk the next day, if you can manage not to guzzle the entire bottle on night one. Might be on the heavy side for some who like thinner, beaujolais sytle wines, but sure to be a crowd pleaser.
