Sunday, November 11, 2007 - It was quite tight when first opened, but within minutes it turned big, brash, redolent of cherries and showed chocolaty tannins. The sweetness was restrained but I could see that it might become cloying if it had a chance. We were at a restaurant and I had it with duck with raspberries over soba noodles. Terrific match and a fun wine.
