The ripe black fruit on the palate shows promising notes of olive and leather underneath, but is tainted somewhat by intrusive sweet oak that also imparts a bitterness. To add to that there are some slightly unpleasant perfumed characteristics. The meat juice flavors on the finish would normally add interest, but in this case just adds more confusion.
