Saturday, September 12, 2015 - Well-balanced, mid-weight wine that went well with lamb loin chops. Good acidity. Nose is restrained. Finish is short.

Update on day two: Approximately 26 hours later, this wine is much, much better. It took a lot to bring out this improvement. When I opened it yesterday, I decanted it for an hour, poured myself a glass, then put the remainder back in the bottle, stopped it, and put the bottle in the refrigerator. Tonight the remainder, after warming back up, is a much more serious wine than it was last night. This has a lovely nose. And there is a decent finish that finds its way from the sides of the tongue towards the tip. Also the acidity is much less pronounced now. This is a great Bordeaux-style wine that would be excellent with any rich, red meat dish. I have just two bottles left and will not open them for a long time.
