Monday, September 21, 2015 - An inky black wine, full of sweet, dense aromatics- very youthful, I feel like this is a sort of infanticide drinking this wine so young. Aromas of flowers, tar, menthol, crushed black cherries, and granite jump out of the glass. The taste is very similar with a bright mineral acid that cuts through the fruit of the wine like a knife- this wine definitely needs some more time to tame that acidic twang. Overall, I was very impressed with the wine, I decanted an hour prior to service and drank over the next two, the wine continued to open and evolve, showing softer flavors and aromatics of strawberries and lilacs- very well made.
