Thursday, September 24, 2015 - Fantastic bottle of Cab Franc. A bit more funk and brett here than I typically expect from Breton, but the fruit flavours still come across remarkably bright and fresh, and it's a wonderful wine to sit down with. An array of fresh dark berried fruit, more savoury earth and herbal notes, and some more developed leathery and funky notes on the nose all coming together seamlessly on a graceful, medium weight frame. The tannins seem fairly light and mostly integrated into the wine, and a lot of the structure here seems to come from the lively acidity. Good length, and it's a wine I kept returning to throughout the tasting.
