Monday, November 23, 2015 - Very good showing from a bottle that had been stored in a cool cellar for 12 years. ! This well made wine food friendly Pinot illustrated the potential of the Santa Rita hills appellation when good wine making is put into practice. The primary feature was layers of layered bright berry and dark cherry fruits, framed by core of acidity and minerality. This lacked the true depth found in the vest best pinot's but it had many of the characteristics of a fine village Burgundy from Beaune or Savigny.
