Friday, November 27, 2015 - Decanted this over a 36 hour period, the nose is splendid blackberry, cassis, menthol, expresso. The palate is rich and dense with dark fruit, chocolate, cedar and smoke. The acidity after this much decant time is still crisp and the tannins are velvety and well balanced. This is a complex wine with a full mouthfeel and a long, fulfilling finish. Great bottle, I feel it is well within its drinking window and has has another couple of years easily that it will maintain at this level.
