Tuesday, December 22, 2015 - Some Winning Reds at a Lovely Pre-Holiday Dinner (Beverly Hills, CA): A stunningly intense and ripe Shiraz, with a profound bouquet of lavender, baking spice, dark fruit, licorice and mocha. A velvety, glycerined texture. Full bodied, with a lush mouthfeel. Notes of blackberry, lavender, pepper and smoked meats. Reminded me of a Clos des Truffiers in some respects, yet was singular and distinguished more than anything else. Looking forward to the rest of my 6 bottles.
