Saturday, December 26, 2015 - Hour and a half decant, the syrah in this leads the way in the nose with the scent of iron, raspberry and cherry. The palate is much the same as the nose and adds a hint of tartness. Interesting that there is no pepper element to this, the grenache does bring this to bear here for some reason. A well balanced wine with a full mouthfeel and a longer finish, this is my favorite rhone blend from South Africa to date.
