Wednesday, February 3, 2016 - The last time I had this a few years ago I thought it was at its apex and I think this bottle supported that judgment. Of course, where's the surprise in that? At 35 years of age, this is doing quite well for a relatively weak year. I find the fruit less vibrant, the geriatric furniture polish notes starting to creep in, the structure a bit more anemic. Still not a bad bottle, but not what it was. Drink them fast.

2/3/2016 5:53:00 PM - No disagreement there. I have very fond memories of a particular 1990 Palmer that's not supposed to be that good... and I think you do, too! Though there are better, there are much worse as well. I'm skeptical that I'd still be finding the 75th percentile of 81 Talbot worth the $$ it's trading at now. I would rather place a different bet with that money.
