This is a bold, dark and juicy wine with dark berries, cocoa and tobacco aromas. Full with solid tannic structure, seems densely tannic after all the Maderia wine I’ve been tasting. But I dig the chewy plum and currant fruit, and I get complex notes of olive, iron and loam. Firm but opens up; it does what it does very well.
