Thursday, February 11, 2016 - Purple with a hint of dark red at the edges. Looks clean/filtered?
Brooding ripe dark fruit aromas, plum? Some earthy elements deep inside, but not overly expressive at this point. Seems like it could open up over time. Not overly alcoholic, just rich dark fruit. Black raspberry ganache scent.
Black raspberry (chambord) flavors. Elegant light-medium body, decent mid-palate and finish with nicely refined tannins. Has a sophisticated approach, delivers on multiple levels. Not jammy, but plenty of fruit to enjoy. Well balanced and will continue to improve.
