Monday, February 8, 2016 - Started out a bit oaky and lactic, but snapped into form with just an hour in the decanter. Good smoky and earth tones on the nose, with a hint of green, but nothing obtrusive. Incredibly silky and lithe on the palate, with a grace that belies the Bordeaux archetype, while still delivering the earth and tobacco you'd expect. A really excellent showing from an unheralded vintage.
