Monday, March 21, 2016 - Aerated and Decanted 6 hrs. prior to pairing with beef shank, slowly braised with mirepoix and wine/tomato sauce and roasted carrots and potatoes. Deep, dense glass staining inky egg[;amt in color. Dark fruit, cherries, spice and minerals on the nose. Cherry fruit bomb, like a reduction of cherries, blueberries and plum. Very compact, powerful spine. Structured, silky tanins framed with wood bark. The finish lingers with hints mixed fruits, including apple notes and spice.
