Saturday, March 26, 2016 - Fabulous aged rioja. Perfect acid backbone with lots of secondary black fruit, raisin, chocolate, and spice. Mellowed after an hour and lost some structure but still very enjoyable especially considering it's not even a reserva.

    4/7/2017 6:48:00 AM - Hi! I have to disclaim with the fact "it's not even a reserva". This wine was 24 months in used American oak and 18 months more (minimum) in the cellar of the brand.

    Keep in mind that, in Rioja a wine should be 36 months waiting to be a Reserva (24 of them in oak)

    I am waiting a special occasion to drink my bottle of this vintage, can't wait.
