Friday, April 1, 2016 - Magenta in color. 15.9% ABV. Powerful nose of ripe red fruits, pepper and licorice. Full bodied but lacking the necessary acidity to keep the alcohol in check. Massive, almost port like, Zinfandel. Strawberry compote, raspberry liqueur and black pepper on the palate. Medium length on the finish. Drinkable but somewhat disappointing given how well the Pesenti has performed in recent years.
