Monday, April 4, 2016 - Somewhat shy nose of blackberry, raspberry, liquorice, iodine. Smooth attack, with a weighty mid-palate of blueberry fruit, blackberry essence, raspberry, granite, mocha, cacao, and coffee bean. Wonderful velvet texture at first, but unfortunately the tannins cut somewhat fast into the unfolding of the fruit, putting a damper on the potential voluptuousness. No doubt, this wine has tremendous potential. I would suggest first drinking in 2017.
