Thursday, April 7, 2016 - Medium garnet with light rim. Initial nose barnyard got blown off after an hour. Aroma of chinese pu'er tea, ripe cherry (v similar to 2004 Jadot Chapelle Chambertin tried many times) and hint of floral if one sniff hard. On palate, there is spice from oak and forest floor dried leaves. Tannin fully resolved, the wine is delicate, likely past its prime, but still enjoyable as it is rare to find aged burg with an affordable price.
